Curated by Jillian Hernandez
Prettier Than Everything features work by women artists from throughout the U.S. in which they respond to the title in whatever way they choose. The word “pretty” has connotations of feminine beauty and physical appeal that also extend to descriptions of color, objects, clothing, architecture, and landscape. The aim of the exhibition is to push and pervert our understandings of the pretty.
Exhibition Sponsor: Susan Radau
Prettier Than Everything is presented in partnership with The Feminist Art Project
