(New York, NY) Fountain Art Fair, long known as the renegade alternative to the traditional art fair model, is thrilled to welcome creative marketing guru’s Jason Patrick Voegele (Republic Worldwide) and Keith Schweitzer (MaNY Project) as co-Directors of Development. The addition of Republic Worldwide will bring a high level of marketing expertise to not only the Miami 2012 fair but also to Fountain’s New York 2013 exhibition, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the original Armory Show.
Following record-breaking art sales and attendance during New York’s Armory Arts Week, Fountain returns to Miami for its 7th edition. Fountain will once again transform the sprawling warehouse at 2505 North Miami Avenue, situated conveniently between Art Miami and Scope to the north and PULSE to the south. With this year’s expansion to a combined 18,000 square foot exhibition space plus another 5000 square feet of outdoor courtyards, Fountain promises exhibitors greater installation potential and tremendous visibility in the contemporary art fair circuit.
“Fountain is setting the precedent for a whole new generation of ambitious young artists and dealers who are excited by alternative ways of engaging the art world. We are both really excited to be part of a team that embraces innovation and has it’s eye on the future.”
-Jason Patrick Voegele & Keith Schweitzer 2012
Fountain co-producer Elizabeth Tully says, “Fountain is pleased to introduce its signature brand of gallerists, independent artist projects, street art and performances throughout Republic’s dynamic network. We look forward to a year of exciting prospects and growth.”
Combination applications for Miami and New York are still being accepted, space is limited. Please visit www.fountainartfair.com/one-sheet for further details. Application deadline is October 15.
